The Allied Dancing Association Ltd prides itself on being professional, friendly and approachable.

As an awarding body we are a Corporate Member of BDC (British Dance Council) and Members of TDCI (Theatre Dance Council International), DPA (Dance Promoters Association), GPTD (Guild of Professional Teachers of Dance), FDAB (Federation of Dance Awarding Bodies) and SAC (Sequence Advisory Committee).

We assist dance teachers nationally by providing a structured medal test qualification system for dancers of all ages and abilities, in various styles of dance, drama and musical theatre.

Membership of the Allied Dancing Association Ltd enables those wishing to develop and progress their dance teaching careers the opportunity to be part of a wider network of dance professionals and the chance to take part in various workshops and lecture days. 

Throughout the year we organise numerous public events for you and your dance schools to take part in, including our Annual Congress, Inter School Medallist days, Easter Dance Festival, Inventive Dance Competition and Open Championship days.  

The Allied Dancing Association Ltd provides teaching qualifications in all main core subjects and we pride ourselves in encouraging and supporting our Members to develop new and existing businesses through regular newsletter communications and training events.

If you would like to train to become a dance teacher, we have many highly qualified professionals who will be happy to coach you and help you achieve your dreams. If you already hold a recognised teaching qualification, please contact us for more details about our ‘transfer without examination’ scheme. 

Membership also allows Full Members to vote in our AGM and contribute to shaping the Association for the present and future, being eligible to hold positions on our various dance genre Sub Committees, and with the appropriate qualifications apply to join our highly respected team of Examiners, or become an elected Executive Council Member.
